Real Time

This is my house RIGHT. NOW.

I feel kinda weird. My hands feel very empty and my feet very itchy. Da Boyz are at a friend's house (safer on sooooooo many levels), and in the meantime My Man and I are kinda putzin' around. We've done everything we need to do, and now we're just staring at each other. (Wonderful on sooooooo many levels, as well - but there are a lot of people around.)

I have a very small inkling of what it must be like to be an ObGyn. You're neccessary, but for the most part you just sit there and let others do the work.

I have this thing wrong with me where I can't watch others be busy by themselves. (I have the same rule for crying.) If you invite me over for dinner, I will help set the table and probably do the dishes afterwards. And right now there are a pack of people who are constantly shooing me out of the room so they can work.

So hey! Blogging! That way I LOOK busy. Yeah.

HI.

We're moving. MOVING. It's really, really happening.
Which makes me feel both:
and
My head hurts.

Um, I need you to do me a favor - tell me where your Man got that shirt?? Because My Man has the same shirt and another friend actually has the same shirt - all got it at Wal-Mart, a place both of them never shop for shirts, weirdly enough. But dude, it's the same shirt.

They have locks on the doors at your place, right? Steal that man away for 5 minutes and use 'em! ;)

Oh, Rebecca, I'm with you honey! You have to be on hand to answer the 82 gazillion questions that come up when the movers are doing their thing, but aren't really expected to DO anything. In fact, our moving contract was such that anything that was considered a PBO (Packed By Owner) was not insurable. So I couldn't have loaded a box if I had wanted to!

(WV: Batide, which sounds a lot like the spanish word for "milkshake". I think this is a message for you...)

Love the OBGYN comment. That Girl is a funny one.

How long are you going to have to stay in a house without any stuff? That just seems creepy to me.

It has to be way scary...it's a BIG move! But I'm sure you guys are going to be very very happy! And we're gonna get to read some really fun blog posts!

Moving is a horrific and wonderful experience. When we moved to our dream house I felt a little like I would die. But I was so excited at the same time. I promise your head won't explode. But good luck! Did you ever decide on a house in AZ?

I'm sure it's so bittersweet!

I've never lived outside this 30 mile area that I currently reside. I have lived in a few homes though. I just want to give you a big hug, and say hang in there. I never had moves like you are experiencing, but I HATED moving each time we did.

You can come over to my place for dinner ANYTIME.

Hope the glad overwhelms the sad soonly, though I know such an occasion can't help but be bittersweet.

good luck with that move. huge step. whole new world opening up.

your man must feel extremely sad/happy/relieved/weight off the shoulders with the move and his church responsibilities.

best of luck.

Oh I don't know what I would do having someone to pack for me. I'm hoping to never have move again.

Good luck with the rest of the move!

I'm sorry. I hate moving. So sad to be leaving, so excited to be starting something new. . .

GOod luck. Hey, at least you don't have to do all of the packing yourself.

That certainly makes it more real! When will you be in the states?

Yay for moving to America!

And I LOVED your OB analogy. Seriously, they tell you.. yeah, baby still there, now just keep on growing it.

I have the cry rule also, I call it sympathy crying. I at times hate it, but the older I get I've just learned to live with it and embrace it as part of who the Lord made me.

Hey! I have that same crying rule!

WV: Kneaders. How cool is that?

I had someone pack and move me. once.

It was like heaven.

(you have to understand---that in all my years of marriage---both of them, I have moved about 20 times)

I always feel like if someone is at my house doing work, I had better look pretty darn busy on the computer or they will expect me to go help them...

So I furrow my brow while I blog. That way I look busy with something vitally important :)

I hate moving! But I love the prospect of new-ness.
And you are officially invited to my house for dinner.
(Except I live in Utah, so you'll have to go to my sister's instead...)

Change is always invigorating, but I get sick to my stomach whenever my husband suggests we consider it. I am such a hypocrite!

Best of luck!
